All prices are per room.
Is breakfast included in the price? What kind of breakfast does the hotel serve?
The hotel serves a continental-style buffet breakfast and it is included in the price.
How many floors does the hotel have? Is there a lift?
The hotel is set on 4 floors and there is a lift.
Is there a TV in the hotel’s rooms? Are there international channels (satellite TV)?
All the rooms have satellite TV with international channels.
Is there a direct line in the rooms?
Yes, all our rooms have a direct line to the other rooms.
Is it possible to connect to the Internet from the rooms?
In the hall there is an Internet point and the hotel has free Wi-Fi.
Are there non-smoking rooms?
We operate a non-smoking policy throughout all the hotel.
What languages can the reception staff speak?
English, French, Spanish and German.
How far is Trieste Central Station?
Trieste Central Station is located 700 m from the hotel.
What is the nearest airport?
It is Trieste-Ronchi dei Legionari airport, about 20 km from the city.
Is there a shuttle service from and to the airport?
The hotel does not provide airport shuttle services, but our staff can arrange a pick up via a local taxi company.
Which bus stop is the closest to the hotel?
It is Piazza Unità d’Italia stop.
Are small pets allowed?
Yes, pets are allowed in the hotel at an additional price of 10 Euros for the deep cleaning of the room.
Do you accept credit cards as payment?
Yes, we accept all the main credit cards.
What is your cancellation policy?
Rooms must be cancelled no later than 48 hours prior to arrival. In the event that you do not arrive or cancel your room with appropriate notice, your credit card will be charged for the first night’s accommodation.
Is it possible to book museum or show tickets through the hotel?
Yes, our reception staff will be glad to help you with the booking of your tickets or any other request you may have.
Does the hotel offer laundry services?
The hotel offers laundry services only on weekdays. Same-day delivery is guaranteed only by giving notice to the reception staff or by handing the laundry bag along with the filled form at the reception desk before 9 am.
Where can we rent a car?
There are many car rental companies near the hotel. Our reception staff will be glad to help you with your choice.
Does the hotel offer accessible rooms for guests with disabilities?
Yes, the hotel offers 4 accessible room for guests with disabilities.
Is there a luggage storage room?
Yes, the hotel offers free luggage storage services.
Is there a city tax to pay?
Currently there is no city tax to pay.
What are the main local attractions near the hotel?
Piazza Unità d’Italia (said to be Europe's largest square facing the sea), the Roman theatre, San Giusto Hill, Verdi Opera House, Molo Audace (a long pier which offers a stunning view of Piazza Unità d’Italia), Revoltella Museum (a modern art gallery).
Is air conditioning available in the rooms?
Individually regulated air conditioning is available in every room. Please contact our reception staff if you need help regulating it.
Is there a parking facility?
Yes, there are several parking facilities: • Park San Giusto multi-storey car park, less than 200 m away from Urban Hotel Design (€13,50 per 24 hours) • 24/7 valet parking service, expensive but extremely useful (€25,00 per night) • Public car park close to the hotel: charges apply from 8 am to 8 pm, from Monday to Saturday (except public holidays)
Is there an in-house Spa?
Even though there is no in-house Spa, the hotel is affiliated with a nearby gym. In-room massages are also available upon request at the reception desk.
Is there an in-house restaurant?
Even though there is no in-house restaurant, the hotel is affiliated with many typical restaurants close by.
How can I reach Ljubljana by car?
Drive along Via del Teatro Romano, then keep straight along Via S. Spiridione, straight along Via Filzi, then turn right into Via Milano. Keep driving straight along Via Milano and Via del Coroneo. At the end of Via del Coroneo, turn right into Via Fabio Severo. Keep driving along Via Fabio Severo, then along Via Alfonso Valerio. At the end of Via Alfonso Valerio, turn left into Strada Nuova per Opicina. Drive along Strada nuova per Opicina, then along Via Nazionale. At the roundabout, take the second exit into Via Nazionale. At the roundabout at the end of Via Nazionale, take the first exit into Strada per Vienna, until you reach Località Fernetti.

You need to buy the vignette (road tax) in order to drive on motorways in Slovenia.

Please note that road signs in Slovenia are yellow for regional roads, green or blue for toll roads (where buying and displaying a vignette is compulsory).
How can I reach Rijeka and then Dalmatia by car?
We suggest you the passage of Basovizza/Pesek (Italy), the first town in Slovenia is Kozina. You do not need to buy a vignette.

Drive along Via del Teatro Romano, then keep straight along Via S. Spiridione, straight along Via Filzi, then turn right into Via Milano. Keep driving straight along Via Milano and Via del Coroneo. At the end of Via del Coroneo, turn right into Via Fabio Severo. Keep driving along Via Fabio Severo, then along Via Alfonso Valerio. At the end of Via Alfonso Valerio, turn right into Strada per Basovizza. Keep driving along Strada per Basovizza and then along SS14 Località Basovizza towards Pesek. Keep driving along SS14 Località Basovizza until you reach Pesek. Then keep along the same road until you reach Kozina. Then follow road signs to Rejika.

To drive on Croatian toll roads you have to pay a fee at the toll booth (as you do in Italy); up until Rejika you can pay with Euros.

How can I reach Istria (Rovinj, Pula, Porec)?
By car:

We suggest you to use the passage of Rabuiese, after the town of Muggia. You need to buy the vignette (road tax) in order to drive on motorways in Slovenia. Once you reach Croatia you can drive on toll roads paying a fee at the toll booth (as you do in Italy); you can pay with Euros too.

Please note that road signs in Slovenia are yellow for regional roads, green or blue for toll roads (where buying and displaying a vignette is compulsory).

By sea:

For several years now it has been available a hydrofoil service during the summer months. It is run by Triestelines and connects the city of Trieste with the main seaside locations on the Istrian coast (Piran, Rovinj, Pula, Porec).
How can I reach Postojna and/or Ljubljana by car?
Drive along Via del Teatro Romano, then keep straight along Via S. Spiridione, straight along Via Filzi, then turn right into Via Milano. Keep driving straight along Via Milano and Via del Coroneo. At the end of Via del Coroneo, turn right into Via Fabio Severo. Keep driving along Via Fabio Severo, then along Via Alfonso Valerio. At the end of Via Alfonso Valerio, turn left into Strada Nuova per Opicina. Drive along Strada nuova per Opicina, then along Via Nazionale. At the roundabout, take the second exit into Via Nazionale. At the roundabout at the end of Via Nazionale, take the first exit into Strada per Vienna, until you reach Località Fernetti. You need to buy the vignette (road tax) in order to drive on motorways in Slovenia.

To avoid paying the vignette, once you reach Località Fernetti you can turn right towards Sezana, then pass through the town and then keep driving towards Senozece, Razdrto and Postojna. It takes about forty minutes by car from Opicina to Postojna; if you keep going you can reach Ljubljana too.
